Advanced Medical Interpreter Training

The field of medical interpretation is constantly evolving. As the complexity of health care increases, so does the need to provide additional training in specific clinical topics and technologies.

Massachusetts Medical Interpreter Training, a program of the MassAHEC Network, offers advanced training that provides ongoing professional development opportunities for medical interpreters. In addition to our annual conference for medical interpreters, Paving the Way to Health Care Access, we offer continuing education programs on a variety of specialized topics:

  • Diabetes
  • HIV/AIDS
  • Emergency Preparedness
  • Oral health
  • Pediatrics
  • Mental Health

Trained medical interpreters who want to increase their proficiency in these topics are eligible to participate in our continuing education programs.
