Paving the Way to Health Care Access has grown as one of the larger annual conferences on the East Coast for medical interpreters and offers skills development, policy discussions, and professional networking opportunities, all related to healthcare interpreting and culturally competent healthcare.

The conference serves as a valuable and engaging gathering place for interpreters, interpreting students, patient advocates, and medical staff to support each other in their shared goal of improving healthcare communication, access, quality, and equity.

In 2022, Paving the Way expanded to include more programming relevant to American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreters both Certified Deaf Interpreters (CDI) and hearing interpreters.

*Raffle: Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze sponsors will be featured in our conference raffle. Attendees will receive a raffle sheet to bring to each sponsor’s table to get a signature. When completed, they can submit the sheet to enter the raffle. Multiple prizes will be awarded. Sponsors are welcome to provide raffle items such as continuing education workshops, headphones, tablets, reusable smart notebook, etc.
